This movie is identical to Spider-Man 2, except for 8 added minutes of content, and possibly some rearrangement of other minutes (though I don't remember any of that happening). Everything else, however, you can find with some fancy footwork and the right subscriptions to streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. 'Spider-Man 2.1' is, for all practical purposes, the director's cut for Spider-man 2. The only real outlier is The Amazing Spider-Man, which you'll have to pick up as a rental if you want to relive Andrew Garfield's glory days all over again. We recommend a nice, extensive re-watch marathon.įortunately, just about every Spider-Man movie is available for streaming on various services. But, of course, if you're going to go through and rank all the different Spider-Mans (Spiders-Men?), you'll need to come at them with fresh eyes.
There are certainly plenty to pick from, and each incarnation has its own merits, from different Peter Parkers to different villains and different, uh, levels of quality we'll say.
There's never been a better time to set some time aside and do a deep-dive into the weird, wonderful world of Spider-Man movies.
